United has been supplying rolls to mini-mills for shaped products since its inception nearly one hundred years ago. The trade name "Paralloy" dates back to the days of Youngstown Foundry and Machine Co. and is still associated with quality and reliability by numerous mills throughout the world. The purple wobble "Unituf" roll is also a United product synonymous with quality. These rolls have been perfected over the years and are still available today.

In addition to supplying cast rolls for shape rolling, United now supplies a dual metal high speed steel composite roll produced by "Hot Isostatic Pressure" (HIP). We produce the arbor, have the metal powder produced and HIPed to our specifications, then heat treat and machine the rolls in our facilities. Initial trials have been very encouraging.
